On Saturday Japan's Kosei Tanaka (13-0, 7) [田中恒成] will face off with Puerto Rican Jonathan Gonzalez (22-2-1, 13), in what will be Tanaka's second defense of the WBO Flyweight title.

Today, in the build up to that fight, Gonzalez took part in a public work out.

The event saw Gonzalez speak to the media, take part in a training session and look incredibly confident, relaxed and like a man determined to make the most of his opportunity.

Gonzalez stated that he was faster and smarter than Tanaka and spoke like a man full of self belief, though did admit that Tanaka was the best in the division. This is only his 4th day in Japan but he's looking like he's already shaken whatever jetlag he has and and that there will be no issue with making the final adjustments before the fight.

As for the work out it was a pretty intensive one with his father and trainer Lewis. Gonzalez spent around 60 minutes working out, which included around 10 minutes shadow boxing, 10 minutes skipping rope and 5 rounds of working the mitts. This was more than just a simply show case for the media but was a full work out, working up a huge sweat.

Gonzalez stated that he has around 1KG above the Flyweight division, and it seems clear that he's not struggling with the weight. In fact he stated he would eat after his work out, making it obvious he's going to make weight with ease

Gonzalez also won fans with the media, promising them a celebration drink after he wins.
