Earlier today two notable Japanese fighters set off for a special US training camp as they begin preparations for their next bout.
Those fighters were hard hitting Welterweight Keita Obara (21-4-1, 19) [小原 佳太] and unbeaten Japanese Lightweight champion Shuichiro Yoshino (10-0, 8) [吉野 修一郎], who are both headed to LA for 2 weeks.
The two fighters, both from the Misako gym, will be going to a gym in LA for high level sparring and training.
The two fighters have both got eyes on big fights later in the year. Obara is looking for a second world title fight, and although he's now 32 he is still in the IBF world rankings, whilst Yoshino is hoping to get a chance to make his mark on the world stage and will see this as a great chance to prepare to for a bout against a world class fighter in the near future, following 4 defenses of the Japanese title.
