Whyte: Chisora needs to finalize deal this week

0 3

Dillian Whyte says he’ll turn his attention to another opponent if Dereck Chisora doesn’t sign a deal to rematch him within the next few days.

Heavyweight Dillian Whyte is growing frustrated with his prolonged negotiations to stage a rematch with foe Dereck Chisora. Chisora, who recently signed a management deal with David Haye, still hasn’t put a pen to paper, and Whyte says if he doesn’t do so soon he’ll be looking to fight somebody else.

Via Sky Sports:

“I think it needs to be done this week, if it’s going to be him [Chisora],” Whyte told Sky Sports. “There’s other options on the table we are looking at. [Promoter] Eddie [Hearn] is speaking to a few people.

“I’ve got options, he ain’t really got no options. The Anthony Joshua fight is there for me, there’s other fights that are there for me, and I’m just 30, so I’ve got so many options.”

Whyte took a split decision over Chisora back in late 2016 in what was a pretty entertaining scrap between the British rivals. But should Whyte seek an alternative opponent, he’s mentioned the likes of Luis Ortiz, Jarrell Miller, Dominic Breazeale, and Adam Kownacki, saying Eddie Hearn is in talks with all of them.

Who would you most like to see Whyte take on next?
