Dillon Danis vs Kevin Lee? Both agree to bet $100,000 on grappling match
Dillon Danis challenged Kevin Lee to a grappling match with $100,000 on the line.
Dillon Danis and Kevin Lee are going at it on social media.
Things seem to have stemmed from Lee’s comments on their past training sessions together. According to the UFC contender, he trained with Danis and got the better of the credentialed grappler.
“We rolled together a few good times now. Ask him. You ask him,” Lee told Ariel Helwani. (HT: MacLife) “See if you get the real about how he feel about me and then or how it went between us, because I know Conor kinda looks up to Dillon a little bit, think he hot shit and he all this black belt and all this. Ask him what the real is and see if he tell you the truth.
“I started tricking off on him. Reverse triangles and all that.”
Danis, who is a 1-0 Bellator fighter, responded on social media to propose a grappling match with $100,000 on the line.

While this type of match seems unlikely to materialize at this point, it didn’t really take long for Lee to respond and accept:

Danis is a BJJ black belt under Marcelo Garcia, and was a world champion at brown belt back in 2014. He is currently 1-0 in his MMA career, and is one of the main grappling training partners of Conor McGregor.
Lee is a former Division II wrestler, who has blossomed into a UFC contender and top level grappler in mixed martial arts. He is 17-3 in MMA, and is currently the #5 ranked lightweight.
