Watch the ‘Creed II’ trailer

0

The film hits theaters on November 21.

Creed II, the follow-up to 2015’s Creed, following the story of fictional boxer Adonis Creed, is set to hit theaters on November 21, and the first official trailer for the film was released today, as seen above.

From the press release:

Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed. Between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life. Facing an opponent with ties to his family’s past only intensifies his impending battle in the ring. Rocky Balboa is there by his side through it all and, together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what’s worth fighting for, and discover that nothing’s more important than family. Creed II is about going back to basics to rediscover what made you a champion in the first place, and remembering that, no matter where you go, you can’t escape your history.

I sometimes take forever to watch boxing movies, and it wasn’t until this year that I finally did watch Creed, and I thought it lived up to the hype, so I’m looking forward to this one.

This sequel, if you haven’t heard and can’t figure it out from the trailer, is about Creed facing the son of Ivan Drago, the Russian villain from Rocky IV. Drago, of course, was responsible for the death of Creed’s father, Apollo Creed.

And here’s a look at the poster, too:
