UFC lightweight contenders Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje get heated on Twitter

0

Justin Gaethje has promised to break Tony Ferguson’s legs.

Top UFC lightweight contender Tony Ferguson has a bullseye on his head.

Last week, ‘El Cucuy’ was targeted by former heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum at a UFC media scrum, with ‘Vai Cavalo’ having to be removed from event.

Ferguson also got into it with fellow lightweight contender Justin Gaethje, who battered Michael Johnson this past July.

Gaethje promised to break Ferguson’s legs and Ferugson fired back by threatening to end his career.

The two went at it on social media in a heated exchange.

Ferguson, 33, is gearing up to fight Kevin Lee in an interim title fight at UFC 216. The dynamic striker is on a nine-fight win streak and will look to challenge official champion Conor McGregor with a win over ‘The Motown Phenom’. UFC 216 takes place next week, October 7, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Gaethje, the former WSOF 155-pound champ, is set to coach The Ultimate Fighter 26 opposite Eddie Alvarez and the two are likely to fight at UFC 218 on Dec. 2.
