Patrick Day, boxer injured on Usyk-Witherspoon card, has died
Patrick Day died Wednesday.
Day, 27, suffered traumatic brain injuries Saturday night in a bout with Charles Conwell, who knocked him out him in the 10th round of a junior middleweight fight Saturday at Chicago’s Wintrust Arena.
Day, of Freeport, New York, was rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He underwent brain surgery in an emergency procedure and lapsed into a coma.
