Floyd Mayweather Sr. pleads not guilty to assault charge

Floyd Mayweather Sr., the father of retired boxer Floyd Mayeather Jr., pleaded not guilty Thursday to a misdemeanor assault and battery charge from an alleged September altercation after the Gennady Golovkin vs. Canelo Alvarez boxing match, according to Clark County online court records. The 65-year-old Mayweather was accused of physically assaulting a woman, and a warrant was issued for his arrest Jan. 16 - after the woman pressed charges - before he turned himself in on Tuesday.
