Shaquille O'Neal: LeBron James is 'a mixture of Michael, Shaq and Magic'
O’Neal said The King’s game is a combination of three all-time greats.
Shaquille O’Neal has finally gotten to the bottom of it. LeBron James has etched his name into the NBA record books not by following someone else’s mold, but by sticking true to the unique talents he’s honed and developed over an illustrious 14-year career.
O’Neal knows exactly whose skill sets James’ game mimics:
"He's a mixture of Michael, Shaq, and Magic," O'Neal told cleveland.com’s Joe Vardon. "Shaq, because he's bigger and stronger than everybody. Michael because he can score whenever he feels like it. And Magic because he does a great job getting everybody else involved. He's been like that his whole career. Even in high school. I knew he was a special guy in high school.
"I've only met two people like him," O'Neal continued. "Him and Kobe. Guys that were super determined ever since high school and accomplished all their dreams, and just wanted to be realized and recognized as one of the greatest and both had extraordinary careers."
By now you know James’ history and track record of dominance.
The man’s been to seven consecutive NBA Finals and has a chance to win a fourth championship against a loaded Golden State Warriors team in June. He’s delivered a ring to both the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers, and has scorched records along the way.
As the saying goes, “real recognizes real.” And to Shaq, LeBron’s looking real familiar right now.
