Long Island Lutheran Center Omar Essam commits to Fordham

Fordham has secured a local prospect for the 2026-27 season.
Long Island Lutheran big man Omar Essam will play for the Rams next season, he announced on Instagram on Saturday.
The 7-foot Egyptian center has experience playing internationally in the FIBA U17 World Cup for Team Egypt.
He averaged 11.3 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game for Team Egypt and will look to make an immediate impact with his size for head coach Mike Magpayo and the Rams.
