Syracuse adds Malian center Abdramane Siby
By JAMES MADDEN
Syracuse has landed another commitment, this time from Malian center Abdramane Siby, per release.
Siby, a 7-footer, played professionally for Mega Superbet in the Adriatic League this season, playing in 21 games, while averaging 4.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game.
Prior to this season, Siby played the 2024-25 season with three different teams in Serbia, where he averaged 9.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game.
Siby is Syracuse’s ninth addition since hiring Gerry McNamara as its next head coach, with six transfers and three commits. The Orange are also set to return Kiyan Anthony and Sadiq White Jr., who played under Red Autry before his firing last season.
Notably of Syracuse’s nine additions, Siby is its second international commit, joining Slovenian forward Mark Morano Mahmutovic, who committed to the Orange in early April.
Syracuse’s other commitments include four-star Ryan Moesch, Siena transfer Gavin Doty, Siena transfer Francis Folefac, Appalachian State transfer Luke Wilson, Temple transfer Aiden Tobiason, McNeese transfer Garwey Dual and Siena transfer Tasman Goodrick.
