BY ALEJANDRO LOPEZ & ADAM ZAGORIA

The Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player will remain in Michigan.

Michigan guard Elliot Cadeau has agreed to a deal to remain with the Wolverines next season, his mother confirmed to ZAGSBLOG.

“He wanted to stay with the coaches and the program,” Michelle Cadeau said.

The news was first reported by ESPN.

He averaged 16.5 points and 6 assists per game in the Final Four on Michigan’s run to the national championship.

All five of Michigan’s starters were transfers coming into the season and securing their starting guard to return is a crucial piece as the Wolverines look to defend their title next season.

Michigan also secured former Tennessee forward JP Estrella from the portal on Thursday.
