AJ Lawson, Alijah Martin receive All-NBA G League honours

The NBA G League has announced that both AJ Lawson and Alijah Martin have been named to the 2025-26 All-NBA G League Second and Third Team, respectively, with Martin also being named to the NBA G League All-Defence and All-Rookie Team.

Lawson, who is on a two-way deal, has averaged a team-high 21.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.4 steals in 31.9 minutes across 36 games (all starts) with the Raptors 905 this season, while also shooting 46.5 percent from the field. Lawson has also scored in double digits in all but one G League game he has played, including 20 or more points 21 times and 30 or more points 7 times.

As noted by the team, this scoring has helped the 905 earn the top seed in the G League’s Tip-Off Tournament, reach the Winter Showcase Final, and clinch a playoff spot for the first time since the 2021-2022 season.

Martin has appeared in 39 games for the 905 so far this season, with 38 of them being starts. In those games, Martin has averaged 18.5 points and 3.6 assists across 30.7 minutes. Martin’s defense was a major part of his game, recording 1.4 steals and 4.6 rebounds.

Martin also had a scoring touch, scoring double digits in 38 games, notching 20 or more points 17 times, and 30 or more points two times.

Martin attended the NBA’s All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles, participating in the Rising Stars game. This selection makes him the first Raptors 905 player selected for the event.

The 2025-2026 All-NBA G League Second Team, which stars AJ Lawson, also includes Kobe Bufkin, Drew Timme, Killian Hayes, and Jahmir Young. The NBA G League All Rookie Team, which features Alijah Martin, also includes RJ David, Keishon Gilbert, Norchad Omier, and Sean Pedulla.

Moving on to Martin’s other two team nods, the All-NBA G League Third Team also includes RayJ Dennis, PJ Hall, Ron Harper Jr., and Daishen Nix. The NBA G League All-Defensive team includes Andersson Garcia, Chris Mañon, Jamarion Sharp, and Jalen Slawson.
