BIG EAST Freshman of the Year Nigel James Jr. to return to Marquette for his sophomore season

The BIG EAST Freshman of the Year will stay put for another season.
Marquette guard Nigel James Jr. will return to the Golden Eagles next season, he announced on Wednesday.
The 6-foot guard averaged 16.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game this season. The freshman was also awarded with a third team All-BIG EAST selection.
Marquette finished seventh in the conference and will play the tenth seed Xavier in the first round on Wednesday, March 11.
The winner of the first-round matchup will play the second seed UConn Huskies in the quarter finals.
