Syracuse parts ways with Adrian Autry

Syracuse parted ways with head coach Adrian Autry on Wednesday morning, a source with direct knowledge told ZAGSBLOG.
The move was expected and comes one day after the Orange were blistered by SMU, 86-69, in the first round of the ACC Tournament on Tuesday.
Syracuse finished the season 15-17.
Autry, 54, went 49-48 in three seasons at his alma mater with no NCAA Tournament appearances.
He was an assistant under Jim Boeheim from 2011-16 and was promoted to associate head coach in 2016.
In 2023, he succeeded Boeheim after he retired following a 47-year tenure.
One potential candidate to replace Autry is fellow former Syracuse guard Gerry McNamara, who led Siena to the NCAA Tournament with the MAAC’s automatic bid Tuesday night.
Syracuse also needs a new AD, as John Wildhack will retire on July 1,
