North Carolina freshman star Caleb Wilson is eyeing a return to the court for the Duke game on March 7, ESPN’s Dave O’Brien said during Tuesday’s North Carolina game.
Wilson, a projected Top-5 pick in this year’s NBA Draft, has been out since Feb. 10 with a fractured left hand.
He cheered his team on from the bench Tuesday night during No. 18 North Carolina’s 77-74 victory over Louisville.

North Carolina beat Duke, 71-68, on Feb. 9 on a last-second 3-pointer by Seth Trimble.
Wilsno scored 23 points in the win and wants to return for the rematch with No. 1 Duke ahead of the ACC and NCAA Tournaments. He is averaging 19.8 points and 9.4 rebounds per game.
Reached by text, Jerry Wilson, Caleb’s father, said, “No timetable, but a dad can dream and a kid can strive!”
