Bay Area News Group girls athlete of the week: Kaylee Kwok, Monta Vista basketball
Monta Vista basketball player Kaylee Kwok is the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week for Feb. 9-14.
In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Kwok finished with 52.1% of the votes. Half Moon Bay basketball player Xochitl Nieves took second at 41.1%.
Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.
Kwok led all scorers with 18 points as Monta Vista upset Los Gatos on its home floor in a Santa Clara Valley Athletic League De Anza Division stunner.
