North Carolina star Caleb Wilson out with fractured hand

North Carolina star freshman forward Caleb Wilson will be out indefinitely with a fractured hand, the program announced on Thursday. A projected top-five pick, Wilson suffered the injury in the first half of the Tar Heels’ loss to Miami on Tuesday.
In 24 games for the Tar Heels this season, he has averaged 19.8 points and 9.4 rebounds per game, scoring in double-figured in every game this season. During his freshman season, he is currently top-five in the ACC in scoring, rebounding, field-goal percentage and double-doubles.
Wilson left the game in the first half on Tuesday, before returning to play in the second half, but further imaging found a fracture in his hand.
The team announced that there is no current timetable for Wilson’s return.
The Tar Heels are 19-5 (7-4 ACC) and have seven games remaining in their regular season, including against No. 24 Louisville, No. 20 Clemson and at No. 4 Duke.
