Two NBA players voted for Bronny James Jr. to start in the NBA All-Star game

Being named an NBA All-Star is one of the most prestigious awards that can be presented to a player. However, the selection process at times can seem like nothing more than a popularity contest.
Bronny James Jr. seemed to be popular amongst a couple NBA players this year, as the second year guard who averages 1.5 points for the Los Angeles Lakers recieved two votes to start in this year’s All-Star game.
Voting is anonymous so the exact identity of the players who voted for James Jr. is unknown but these types of votes are nothing new in the NBA.
Players especially often vote for teammates and friends who have little to no chance of being in serious consideration for the All-Star game.
Still, the unserious nature of some of the voting that goes on for All-Star weekend has not been anything compared to the issue that has been the unserious nature that the product on the court for the actual All-Star game has been.
