Several high majors in the mix for 2027 Ann

As a consistent 20 PPG scorer known for his acrobatic and crafty finishing aptitude, Class of 2027 Maple Grove (MN) combo guard/wing Baboucarr Ann has been hearing from a handful of high majors.
A versatile 6-foot-5 scoring/dishing threat who has become a reliable outside shooter, Ann has heard from the likes of Minnesota, Iowa State, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, and West Virginia, among others.
“I don’t have a leader at the moment, but I’m looking to make my decision either during or by the end of my AAU season,” said Ann, who plays for D1 Minnesota 17U.
“It will be great to have it all planned out by then. Hopefully, we will have a state championship (at Maple Grove) at (the time of decision) as well.”
Ann said Minnesota and Iowa State have been among the most consistent at this phase of the process.
Notre Dame and Minnesota were both recently in to see the jack of all trades style recruit, who is capable of guarding the 1-4.
Iowa State, with veteran assistant coach Kyle Green, have also been in active pursuit of the high rising Ann and have seen him this winter.
Wisconsin is another program which has made stops to see Ann during live action.
A high academic prospect, Ann has heard from both Clemson and Stanford recently.
Ann said he’s gained a wealth of motivation from witnessing players such as Chet Holgrem, Jalen Suggs, and several others from the Minnesota area thrive at the next level.
He prides himself on impacting winning and making everything happen for his team.
“I know versatility is a major thing for me,” Ann said.
“I think my game is predicated on getting to the rack, play-making, shooting threes, just being a guy who can do a bit of everything.”
