Star BYU freshman AJ Dybantsa shines in preseason debut

One of the best freshmen in the nation excited a lot of fans at BYU with his preseason debut.
BYU freshman AJ Dybantsa showed out against Nebraska in his first preseason game.
The skilled 6-foot-9 wing put up 30 points, 7 rebounds, a block and 3 steals, all while already looking comfortable at the next level.
Dybantsa showed much of what he showed as a prospect in high school, elite size and athleticism for his position, combined with guard-like ball skills.
He shot an efficient 10/19 from the field along with 2/4 from long distance and a perfect 8/8 from the free throw line.
If this is the type of production fans at BYU can expect from Dybantsa all season long the freshman will make a very good case to be the eventual No. 1 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
