The ACC’s preseason selections were unveiled on Tuesday with Duke leading the charge as the team to beat in the conference.

The Blue Devils were voted as the preseason favorites to win the conference, followed by Louisville and North Carolina.

NC State’s Darrion Williams has been awarded the preseason conference player of the year, the program’s first since the 2012-2013 season.

Williams joins the Wolfpack as a key addition through the transfer portal. The senior forward played his last two seasons at Texas Tech, where he averaged 15.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists a season ago.

The Wolfpack trailed closely behind the top programs in the ACC’s preseason poll at No. 4, the highest selection the program has received since it led the preseason poll in the 2012-2013 season.

The preseason All-ACC first team selections included Williams, Duke’s Cam Boozer, Notre Dame’s Markus Burton and Louisville guards Mikel Brown Jr. and Ryan Conwell.
