Class of 2026 guard Jaen Chatman commits to Rhode Island
By JAMES MADDEN
Rhode Island landed a commitment from Jaen Chatman, a guard in the class of 2026 and a senior at Blair Academy (NJ). Chatman chose the Rams over West Virginia, Boston College, George Washington, George Mason, Northeastern and Hofstra.
Originally from East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, Chatman is a 6-foot-1 guard that spent his summer as a member of the PSA Cardinals on the Nike EYBL circuit.
“Jaen (Chatman) is a high level two way player who is ranked in the top 75 in the country. He is impacted every team. He has been on at the highest level and was the leading scorer in the New Jersey state open championship last year. Jaen will be impactful at both guard positions and he has a spirit that uplifts and unites every lock room he’s ever been in,” Blair Academy head coach Joe Mantegna told ZAGSBLOG.
Chatman is Archie Miller and Rhode Island’s first commit in its 2026 recruiting class.
