Top-20 Class of 2027 prospect Javon Bardwell commits to Kansas
BY ALEJANDRO LOPEZ
Kansas has secured one of the best prospects the Class of 2027 has to offer.
Five-star wing Javon Bardwell will play for the Jayhawks for the 2027-28 season, he announced on Friday.
This marks the third commitment head coach Bill Self and Kansas have secured in the past week, alongside Class of 2026 four-star guard Trent Perry and five-star guard Taylen Kinney.
The 6-foot-6 forward decided on Kansas over USC, Louisville and Texas. He plays high school ball in Arizona for PHHoenix Prep as well as hooping for Overtime Elite’s Diamond Doves.
Bardwell is one of the first major dominoes to fall in the 2027 recruiting class and is a significant acquisition for Self and the Jayhawks.
