WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — Just a couple days after his official visit to Michigan State, Class of 2026 wing Jasiah Jervis drew Spartans head coach Tom Izzo and three assistants to the gym at Archbishop Stepinac High School.

“That means they really want me and they can see me fitting in their program,” the 6-foot-5, 195-pound Jervis, the No. 3 shooting guard in 2026 per 247Sports.com, told ZAGSBLOG.

On his visit, Jervis met Michigan State legends Draymond Green, MIles Bridges, Gary Harris and Jase Richardson.

“The atmosphere was great,” said Jervis, who runs with the NY Rens Nike EYBL program. “The players welcomed me in with open arms. Playing against all those NBA guys and just getting, advice from them, it was just great.”

What was Green’s message?

“He was like, ‘We develop pros, we win,” Jervis related. “‘It’s just a great atmosphere and a family like-school.'”

Could he envision going to the Big Ten school?

“Yeah, because they’ve been there, they went one-and-done, two-and-done,” he said. “They say nothing but great things about Coach Izzo and the staff. I built a great relationship with Coach Izzo and coach Woj [associate head coach Doug Wojcik] and the rest of the staff as well.”

Jervis will next visit Pittsburgh this weekend.

Head coach Jeff Capel and assistant Tim O’Toole, a Stepinac legend, were also on hand Wednesday.

“I think sophomore year, that’s when they offered me,” he said. “And ever since then they’ve been watching me on the EYBL circuit and watching my games at school and I built a great relationship with Coach Capel.”

Jervis is officially considering Florida, Pittsburgh, NC State, Michigan State, Illinois, Tennessee, Oregon, and Texas, and Florida assistant Dave Klatsky was also hand.

He has several more visits scheduled after Pittsburgh. Asked if he might end up canceling some of them, he said, “I don’t know yet, I’m not sure.”

During the open run, he scored through contact, pulled up for 3’s and ran the floor.

As for what skillset he’ll bring to college, Jervis said: “I’m a combo guard, a guy who’s gonna get gritty on defense and guard the best player on the opposite team and do whatever it takes to win.”

He add that he’s gotten stronger “and I feel that I’ve shown that this year.”

As for a potential timetable on a decision, he said, “Not really. Once I visit certain schools and talk to my parents, I’ll make a decision.”
