Following eye opening performances in which he registered his deadly 3-point shooting prowess and two way athleticism at NBPA Top 100 Camp and Peach Jam, Stepinac’s 6-foot-5 Class of 2026 guard Jasiah Jervis whittled his college choices down to eight choices on Monday.
Jervis, a national stock riser now hovering around the Top-60, will decide between Florida, Pittsburgh, NC State, Michigan State, Illinois, Tennessee, Oregon, and Texas.
The NY Rens star, whose flair for the big shot was vital duriing Stepinac’s dramatic OT city title win over St. Raymond’s HS, inherits some ownership of a nationally prominent Stepinac team seeking an unprecedented fourth consecutive CHSAA “AA” title in 2025-26.
On the EYBL scene, Jervis erupted for 28 points on the strength of six 3-pointers, catapulting the Rens to a victory over AZ Unity and a berth in the Peach Jam quarterfinals this past month.
Beyond Jervis’ clutch shooting, he brings high level athleticism and adeptness as a one on one defender who can guard multiple positions.
The Bronx native’s crafty through traffic finishing and ability to create off the dribble has been problematic for foes this summer, as he shredded through defenses during the CHSAA Team Camp at Iona Prep in June.
While Pittsburgh and Illinois appear to have been there for the long haul in Jervis’ recruitment, several of Jervis’ drew offers from several in his top eight choices during his scintillating summer. Michigan State appears to be jockeying for front runner position in Jervis’ rapidly ramped up recruitment.
Florida of course, now features Jervis” former teammate and 2024 McDonald’s All American Boogie Fland.
