Wyndham Championship: Minimum finishes required for several PGA Tour players to reach playoffs
Here is how certain Tour players need to finish at the Wyndham if they want a spot in the playoffs.
The PGA Tour is wrapping up its regular season this week in the Wyndham Championship. It is hard to believe it, but the FedExCup Playoffs begin next week in Memphis already. Time has flown by.
It goes without saying that getting into the playoffs is a requirement for participating in them and there are several players who are grinding this week in North Carolina on the hopes of getting a spot at the last moment.
Paul Hodowanic did some incredible work and tabulations to help us learn exactly what each player (notable ones) needs at the minimum this week at the Wyndham.
The MINIMUM finish that some notable players will need at the Wyndham Championship to crack the top 70 and make the Playoffs.

Some of these are obviously more feasible than others. When you have a season without top-level finishes you have some ground to make up at the last minute. That’s golf, sometimes.
We will see who is able to get in and maybe make the most out of their playoff spot starting next week.
