Tomlin was voted as Cleveland’s biggest standout.

The Cleveland Cavaliers play their final consolation game of the summer on Saturday. With four other games under out belt — let’s reflect on how the team has performed in Vegas.

Earlier in the week, we asked Cavs fans to vote for who impressed them the most in Summer League. Nae’Qwan Tomlin ran away with the vote.

Tomlin took home roughly 2/3rds of the vote as Jaylon Tyson landed as a distant runner-up. Tyrese Proctor likely would have performed better in this poll if it was posted after his 35 point game. Ah, well.

Cleveland went just 2-2 in Vegas prior to their consolation game. The results of each game aren’t very important, though. This trip to the desert is more about player development. Tomlin was the clear winner in this regard.

Tomlin led all players in offensive rebounds and averaged close to 20 points per game during his first four games in Vegas. His on-ball creation really popped in his first two performances, where Tomlin scored a combined 52 points on insane efficiency.

The Cavs could be counting on Tomlin, Proctor and Tyson to play minutes throughout the regular season. After all, 82 games is a long time. Someone is bound to get an opportunity to step up. All three of them showed enough promise in Vegas to feel excited about that potential scenario.

Cleveland’s over/under for win total is currently set at 56.5 by FanDuel. They’ll likely need a little help from their bench to reach that mark.
