Point guard Jason Crowe Jr., one of the most prolific scorers in high school basketball and the No. 5 overall prospect in the 2026 class, has committed to Missouri, he announced live on Friday.

Crowe Jr., the 6-foot-3 guard out of Inglewood (CA) and the Oakland Soliders Nike EYBL AAU program, becomes the second-highest rated recruit in Missouri school history via 247Sports’ rankings, just behind 2017’s No. 2 overall prospect Michael Porter Jr. The 247 rankings began in 2010.

The five-star did not have a final list of schools, nor did he take any official visits before making a final decision.

“I feel like the first call I had with coach [Dennis] Gates was a different conversation than I had with any other college coach,” Crowe said. “He wasn’t just talking to me trying to recruit me. He was actually there for me as a player and as a person as well. I was going through the USA tryouts when he called me. Basically, I just had a long conversation with him, and it’s been a great relationship from there.”

Mostly known as a scorer, Crowe Jr. has one of the deepest bags of any high school prospect. He also excels as a playmaker. In three games at Peach Jam, Crowe’s averaging 27.0 points and 3.7 assists while shooting 41% from the field.

“He’s not just a scorer, he’s a creator,” Crowe Sr. previously told ZAGSBLOG. “We look at the scoring, but we don’t look at the creation. I watched his passing video from the EYBL last session. I don’t think you’re going to find a player in high school who can pass and make these reads that he makes… You got to go to the pros to beat that. You have to get to great NBA players to top that right now.”

It’s expected that with Crowe Jr.’s commitment, his father, Jason Crowe Sr., will join the Missouri staff. Crowe Sr. played basketball at Cal State Northridge and professionally overseas for 13 years. He’s also his son’s high school coach at Inglewood.

The five-star’s announcement came on his 17th birthday. He said Missouri is getting a “whole lot of buckets.”
