He’s pretty impressive here

On the most recent episode of the Brotherhood Podcast, Caleb Foster asked Maliq Brown which of the new guys had impressed him the most. He said it was Dame Sarr. And by all accounts, Sarr is a highly promising young talent. It’s also interesting because he didn't say Cameron Boozer, who is widely expected to to be one of the top picks in next summer’s draft.

However, and this is obviously not Brown’s fault, not everyone is in town yet, so he might have to revise that opinion.

We say that because Nik Khamenia is with the US U19 team and can’t join his teammates for a while and in this video, he looks really good.

To keep it in perspective, he’s playing against Cameroon, not Carolina. Even so.

What we see is a guy who is first, highly alert. He’s making really, really assertive and smart passes. He’s popping the ball loose or getting his hand on it so that someone else can get to it quite a bit.

On the downside, he very much looks like a teenager. He’s not painfully thin, but he’s going to need some muscle down the road.

Time will take care of that. If he can play with the intensity and swagger that he shows in this clip, Brown may have to reassess.
