NBA 2K25 Patch 8.0 Released
Patch 8.0 for NBA 2K25 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. As always, it should come through automatically as long as you’re online. If it doesn’t, try restarting your console or Steam client, or check for updates manually.
Although the 2025 NBA season has drawn to a close in real life, there’s a new campaign in NBA 2K25. As such, Patch 8.0 updates NBA 2K25 for Season 8 in MyTEAM and MyCAREER, and includes some stability fixes throughout the game. VC payouts have notably also been increased in 5v5 Proving Grounds games, and there are some WNBA branding updates as well.
It’s a small update as you’d expect at this point of the year, but you can find the release notes below, as well as here in our Wiki. With one more in-game season to go before NBA 2K26 is released, we can most likely expect a ninth and final patch in about six weeks. GENERAL
- Preparations for NBA 2K25 Season 8, launching on Friday, June 27th, at 8AM PT/11AM ET/3PM GMT. Stay tuned for what we have in store!
CITY/PRO-AM/REC/THEATER/PROVING GROUNDS
- Various improvements to performance, stability, and visuals have been made to enhance the overall experience in The City
- VC earn for Proving Grounds 5v5 games has been greatly increased
MyNBA/MyWNBA/THE W
- Various stability fixes and improvements have been made for MyNBA, MyNBA Online, and The W
- The WNBA referee uniforms have been updated
- The “Ally” and “No Space For Hate” logos have been added to all WNBA court floors
- The Atlanta Dream sponsor patch has been updated
- Resolved a hang that could occur when selecting a team to play with in The W
- The Golden State Valkyries court floor has been adjusted to better match the real-life visual
