Five-star guard Darius Adams officially signs with Maryland

Maryland has secured a consensus top 25 recruit to its 2025-26 recruiting class.
Five-star guard Darius Adams will play for the Terrapins next season, new head coach Buzz Williams announced on Monday.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Darius to the Maryland Basketball family. He’s a highly skilled player who can impact winning from day one with his competitiveness, unselfishness, and feel for the game,” said Williams. “Darius has developed through two of the nation’s premier programs in La Lumiere and the PSA Cardinals, and he comes from an incredibly supportive and successful basketball family. His character and work ethic—fueled by great parents—will make him a tremendous addition to our program.”
The 6-foot-5 guard out of New Jersey had originally committed to UConn but later decommitted in favor of Maryland.
Maryland will head into the next season after making the Sweet 16 but losing their head coach, Kevin Willard, to Villanova and their star player, Derik Queen, to the NBA Draft.
Now, a new regime under coach Williams will look to build on what was a successful season for Maryland.
