Golden State basketball is on the way! Come join our game thread and chat about tonight’s matchup here.

Down 2-1 to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Golden State Warriors will attempt to even out the second round series with Monday night’s Game 4 matchup at the Chase Center. The game will be played at 7:00 PM PT in San Francisco and can be watched on ESPN.

Previously with the Warriors:

Golden State lost Game 3 on Saturday night, 102-97. Despite missing Stephen Curry for the second straight game due to a left hamstring strain, the Warriors did manage to keep things competitive. They entered the fourth quarter with a four-point lead but couldn’t hold on, as Minnesota closed strong with a 33-24 finish to the game.

Jimmy Butler and Jonathan Kuminga carried the offensive load, combining for 63 points for the Warriors, while Anthony Edwards led all scorers with 36 points for the Timberwolves. Despite the loss, Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr remains optimistic about the direction of his team.

What to watch for tonight:

The Warriors will need more from their supporting cast beyond Butler and Kuminga, whose scoring efforts weren’t enough in Game 3. Buddy Hield was the only other Warrior to reach double figures with 14 points, while Brandin Podziemski struggled mightily—finishing 1-of-10 from the field with just five points.

Draymond Green, though solid defensively, fouled out in the fourth quarter and scored just two points. His matchup with Julius Randle, who dropped 24 points on the Warriors, proved to be a challenge—forcing Green into playing too aggressively at times and committing fouls.

Game 4 is as close to a must-win as it gets. A loss would put the Warriors in a dreaded 3-1 hole, but a win tonight ensures the series goes at least six games—buying them three valuable days of rest after Game 5 and opening the door for a possible Curry return in Game 6.
