Rosters confirmed for Under-19 Men’s game at #HASC25
The rosters for the Under-19 Men’s game at the 2025 Hoopsfix All-Star Classic are now set as the top junior talent in British Basketball convene for the annual showcase (tickets are still available – buy now!).
The selection of 24 players features several junior internationals, returning players from last year as well as players coming back to the UK off the back of seasons overseas.
Four members of Barking Abbey’s EABL title-winning squad have been selected, headlined by South MVP Ethan Conway. The Memorial University commit averaged 14.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game and will suit up for Team Black against his three club teammates.
NBL D2 U19 Player of the Year Amarie Wilkinson led the EABL in steals and made the All-South First Team with an all-around 12.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 3.5 steals per game. The point guard makes his Classic debut alongside EABL seven-footer Lewis Obiorah – who claimed EABL Finals MVP honours – and Obi Ekufu, who had a win in the Munich qualifier of the NextGen EuroLeague tournament earlier this year.
Melchi Egbeyemi is Weber State bound next season with the point guard back after a year at Layton Christian Academy. On the opposing side, Re’Ale Basquine was GB Under-18s’ leading scorer last summer, and has spent this season in Spain at City of Badajoz Academy, with the guard strengthening the backcourt for Team White.
CoLA duo Isaac Fiagbe and Khyle Capanzana also link up on Team Black with Fiagbe making his debut having made the All-South First Team in the EABL, while it’s a second appearance for Capanzana, who made the All-South Second Team.
Former Richmond Knight Milo Murray makes a return to the UK with the athletic forward – who has represented Germany at youth international level – currently playing for ratiopharm Ulm, which is the former team of HASC alumni Jeremy Sochan.
NBL Division U19 Player of the Year and Charnwood’s Ed Onyia is set for a second appearance at the Classic; adding size to the Team Black frontcourt alongside fast-rising Solent forward Jakub Ofman – South Conference Most Improved Player – and 6’10” big Christian Airoboma, a shot-blocking machine who has remained somewhat under the radar despite having impressed NBL D2 side St Helens.
New City College teammates Tyresse Mensah and Devontae Dacosta are also reunited on Team Black having gone head-to-head in last year’s Classic. Mensah made it back-to-back CBL Finals MVP awards, while Dacosta was the regular season MVP as they helped lead their team to the title.
They will be supported by London Westside’s Josh Mendes on the Team Black frontline, a talented forward who’s stock is rising.
Matt Goodwin is another returning player with the all-action guard having made the switch to join SLB side London Lions this season, and will link up with Ethan Round on the Team White backcourt with the JMA guard having averaged 19.4 points and 4.0 assists per game in the EABL and had two impressive performances at the Junior Final Fours.
Myerscough forward Junior Sanchez made the All-North team in the EABL with 12.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists, while Charnwood’s Lewis Malcolm also represents Scotland in his debut appearance alongside Manchester guard Demi Babalola, who made the All-British Team of the Year in NBL D2.
6’9″ big man Melchi Andre returns after a year at LA Premier Prep, while London Stars duo Nojus Zajankauskas – a GB junior international – and Timmy Nwankwo – who made his SLB debut this season with Surrey 89ers – round out the lineup for Team White.
