Sussex storm to victory for U18 National title
Sussex Storm claimed the U18 Men’s crown with a dominant display built on deadly shooting.
The squad from Sussex hit 59% of their field goal attempts and 57% of their threes to keep a battling Reading team on the back foot.
Jamaul Mcallister picked up MVP honours, finishing with 23 points, four rebounds, seven assists and five steals.

“It’s amazing,” Storm Head Coach Danny Hildreth said after the game.
“Obviously this is the hardest thing to do in any competition, win a championship. These guys showed such resilience and poise through the course of the game today. Last week they were national champions in Division 3, which absolutely no-one thought they were going to do except for ourselves.
“It was a different concept today because we were going into it with a target on our back. We’re really proud we were able to come out with a win in that manner.”
Storm’s Nate Watson added 20 (4/5 from three) to keep Storm in front for the bulk of the game.
Reading were paced by Ethan Round’s 24, after he had 36 in the semi to get them to the final.
