Real Madrid forward Sidi Gueye commits to Arizona
BY ALEJANDRO LOPEZ
Arizona has acquired a 17-year-old prospect out of Senegal for the 2025-26 season.
Real Madrid forward Sidi Gueye will play for the Wildcats next season, per ESPN.
Gueye is a 6-foot-11 forward with a 7-foot-4 wingspan, giving him remarkable length at that position. He will be joining Arizona head coach Tommy Lloyd, who has had success coaching international prospects in the past, including Sacramento Kings All-Star Domantas Sabonis and Lakers forward Rui Hachimura.
“Coach Lloyd is one of the top coaches in college, and he has coached many international players before,” Gueye said to ESPN. “He made me comfortable and showed me how I can improve and produce in his system.”
Gueye will be adding versatility and length to the wing for an exciting recruiting class for Arizona. They will also be adding five-star prospects Koa Peat and Brayden Burries along with the son of Lebron James, Bryce James.
