The starting shooting guard is very under the weather.

If the Golden State Warriors are going to win Game 2 of their first-round playoff series against the Houston Rockets, they’re going to have to dig deep into their rotation, and get production from unexpected places. Starting shooting guard Brandin Podziemski was initially listed as questionable to play in the game due to an illness, and was a game-time decision.

After warming up, Podziemski decided to give it a go, while coach Steve Kerr said that the second-year lefty was dealing with a stomach bug. Podziemski looked a little physically compromised in the first quarter, and looked very ill while sitting on the bench in the early going. When the second quarter began, Podziemski was neither in the game nor on the bench, and the Warriors announced that he was questionable to return.

Podziemski was not in the lineup when the second half began, but a few minutes into the third quarter, the team announced that he is available to return. At the 6:11 mark, Podziemski checked back into the game.

This comes after forward Jimmy Butler III suffered a painful fall in the first quarter when getting accidentally undercut by Amen Thompson while in air. The Warriors announced in the second quarter that Butler had a pelvic contusion, and would not return.
