Lakers-Wolves Game 1 will give fans plenty to root for
When the ball goes up in the air on Saturday for this Lakers-Wolves series, get ready for the action to turn up a notch.
After nearly a week of anticipation, the wait is finally over. The Lakers and Wolves will begin their playoff series on Saturday in Los Angeles.
It’s not just Lakers fans who are excited for the playoffs to begin; the players are right there with them.
Dorian Finney-Smith wants to feed off the home crowd, and Luka Dončić has already stated he thinks L.A. can win it all right now.
With Game 1 set to take place in Los Angeles, our friends at FanDuel have some intriguing parlays for fans.
Currently, they have the first basket set at +550 for Jaxson Hayes and +600 for Dončić. It makes sense that Luka and Hayes would be the most likely to score first. Luka often has the ball in his hands, and Hayes is known to start games with an early basket.

If you want a better payout, another option one can go with is LeBron James at +900.
It’s not hard to imagine a scenario where he’s on the weak side and gets an open jumper off a Luka dime or grabs a defensive rebound and goes coast-to-coast scoring Los Angeles’ first playoff bucket.
FanDuel also has an intriguing 5-leg same-game parlay in which players have an over they must reach when combining points, rebounds, and assists. Currently, the numbers are set at Anthony Edwards over 37.5, Luka over 45.5, LeBron over 39.5, Austin Reaves over 29.5, and Julius Randle over 30.5.
With so many legs to this parlay, the payout is huge, with a $10 bet paying out $211.53. While Lakers fans won’t necessarily be rooting for Ant and Randle to reach those numbers, hopefully, they will produce those stats in a blowout loss against the Lakers.
If you want a purely Lakers bet, I think a fun one could be a 3-leg parlay betting that L.A.’s big three of Luka, Austin, and LeBron each score 20 points. The odds for that are pretty good at +164.
The last time these two teams played, all three scored over 20 points, so it’s certainly possible that they do it again for Game 1.
If they do score that much on Saturday, the Lakers could very well be up 1-0 and start this series off on the right foot.
