YouTube Gold: Cooper Flagg On His Freshman Year At Duke

We’re really going to miss him.

Cooper Flagg stopped by ESPN’s SportsCenter after winning the Wooden Award to talk about his freshman year at Duke. He spoke about his family, about having his parents and grandparents at most of his games, and about the Brotherhood and what that meant to him.

The interviewer, Sean Farnham, tried to goad him into tipping his hand on his NBA decision, but Flagg deflected well, saying that now was a “time for reflection.”

He also talks about the closeness of the Duke team this year and how much playing at Duke has meant to him.

We wouldn’t take that as a sign that he’ll be back though. We’d love if it he was, but even Jon Scheyer basically said it ain’t happening, and if you can’t believe the coach, who can you believe on this?

It’s a small interview but it underscores what a wonderful season this was.
