Schedule for first round NBA playoffs series of Lakers-Wolves
After securing the No. 3 seed, the Lakers are set to play the Timberwolves in the opening round. Here’s a look at the complete series schedule.
For the first time since its inception, the Lakers have made the playoffs without needing to go through the play-in. It’s a sign of just how good the Lakers were this year, especially considering how great the Western Conference was as a whole this year.
Their reward is homecourt advantage, a week’s worth of rest and a series against the Wolves. The Lakers and Wolves have not met in the playoffs in quite some time, but they did square off in the play-in in 2023 with the purple and gold winning in overtime.
During the season, the two teams played four times with each side winning twice. The Lakers won the first and last games while Minnesota won twice in the middle of the season at the Lakers’ low point of the season.
Only one of those games came with Luka Dončić in LA, which obviously changes the dynamics of the matchup. As a result, it’ll be an interesting series with two of the top young players in the league between Luka and Anthony Edwards.
Here is the schedule that has been released so far. All times Pacific.
