By SAM LANCE

It’s been a productive day for Scott Drew and Baylor in the transfer portal.

Hours after landing Oregon State transfer Michael Rataj, the Bears have landed one of the most coveted players in the transfer portal in Wyoming guard Obi Agbim.

Agbim — the 6-foot-3, 180-pound guard from Aurora (CO) — averaged 17.6 points, 3.4 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game last season at Wyoming. He led the Cowboys in points, assists and steals per game (1.1). Agbim shot 43.7% from 3-point range on 180+ attempts.

The guard started his career at the junior college level spending one season with both Northeastern and Metro State. Agbim then moved onto Fort Lewis College, a Division II school in Durango (CO). There, he was on the first team of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and was the MVP of the RMAC tournament. In the championship game of that tournament, he scored 33 points on 10-of-12 shooting.

In high school, Agbim helped Rangeview High (CO) to a state title his junior year. He was also named to Class 5A All-State First Team his senior year.

Agbim is ranked the No. 9 overall available transfer by 247Sports. He’ll be joining five-star forward Tounde Yessoufou and Rataj as newcomers on Baylor’s 2025-26 roster. Agbim has one season of eligibility remaining.
