How the community reacted to Monday’s win.

The Golden State Warriors continued their dominant stretch of basketball on Monday night, beating the Portland Trail Blazers 130-120 in a very fun home game. Golden State’s stars played like stars, but their role players carried them to the victory.

It was also a game with a fair amount of ebbs and flows, which made for great TV. And sure, the Blazers aren’t the best team in the world, but they’ve been playing excellent basketball lately, and are scrappy, energetic, and athletic, so it was an impressive win nonetheless.

It was also on a Monday night, so our game thread wasn’t the most popping club in town. But enough of you showed up to talk about the win to provide content for another reaction article. So here’s how Golden State of Mind reacted to the victory in real time.

First half: “Defense is unbelievable”

The Warriors started slow, trailing 7-0 in the first few minutes. But they quickly turned things around. The second quarter featured some dominant defensive stretches, and plenty of offensive brilliance, as the Dubs took a 19-point lead into the locker rooms.

Second half: “No one had a bad game”

The second half started with a scare. Portland erased almost all of Golden State’s lead, but the Dubs slowly built it back up, behind huge shots from Steph Curry, Buddy Hield, and Gary Payton II. They took a 10-point lead into the fourth quarter and, with Jimmy Butler III quarterbacking the offense and defense en route to a triple-double, coasted to victory.
