Some Good NBA Brotherhood News
Brandon Ingram is set for a long time and Jahlil Okafor is on the comeback trail
Two significant headlines from the NBA Brotherhood: first Brandon Ingram, who was recently traded to the Toronto Raptors, has signed a large extension: he’ll be getting $120 million over the next three years.
He’s now teammates with fellow Brotherhood member RJ Barrett of course and also Scottie Barnes. That’s a nice group to build around.
And secondly, Jahlil Okafor, who has been through an awful lot, has made it back to the NBA.
Okafor had some real difficulties before, and lost his passion for the game. He also blew out his Achilles. However, he persevered through some overseas contracts and ultimately came back to play in the G-League for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
And last night, now on a 10-day contract with the Indiana Pacers, he got back on an NBA floor. You love to see the heart and the resilience of a guy who should be there trying to make it back. Well done.
