Golden State basketball is on the way! Come join our game thread and chat about tonight’s matchup here.
The Golden State Warriors wrap up their five-game homestand on Monday night when they take on the Orlando Magic. Tip-off is set for 7:00 PM PT in San Francisco and can be watched on NBA TV and NBC Sports Bay Area.
Previously with the Warriors:
Golden State saw its two-game winning streak snapped after Friday’s 130-105 loss to the Phoenix Suns. The Warriors trailed 98-79 heading into the fourth quarter and never managed to cut the deficit to single digits, prompting head coach Steve Kerr to empty the bench with just over five minutes remaining.
The Suns’ trio of Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Bradley Beal led the way with a combined 71 points on the night. Meanwhile, Andrew Wiggins and Moses Moody paced the Warriors with 17 points apiece. The loss brought Golden State to a record of 24-24 on the season as they finished January 8-8.
The Warriors were 16-16 heading into January. They went 8-8 in January. They are 24-24. Trade deadline next week.

What to watch for tonight:
The Warriors look to close this home stretch on a high note with tonight’s matchup against the Magic. They could be getting a boost with Draymond Green listed as probable after missing the last seven games due to a calf injury.

Only Warrior out is Jonathan Kuminga
Green’s return would be timely as the Warriors face an Orlando squad that thrives on physicality. The Magic (24-26) currently hold the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference and boast one of the league’s stingiest defenses, ranking third in defensive rating (108.6).
However, their offensive struggles have been a glaring issue—they rank second to last in offensive rating (106.9) and are one of the NBA’s worst shooting teams, hitting just 43.7% from the field and 30.3% from beyond the arc. Injuries are a big reason for Orlando’s offensive struggles as Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero, the team’s two leading scorers, have only played together in nine games this season.
With their homestand coming to an end, look for the Warriors to try and capitalize on their home-court advantage before they leave the Bay Area for a seven-game road trip.
