Warriors vs. Suns injury report

The full injury report for Friday’s game.

It has not been the season that the Golden State Warriors envisioned thus far. It also hasn’t been the season that the Phoenix Suns envisioned thus far. Ahead of Friday’s matchup on ESPN, in which Kevin Durant will return to the Bay Area, the teams are a combined three games above .500.

So both teams will be feeling like they’re in need of a win, with the Warriors hoping to build momentum after a surprising and encouraging Wednesday night win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Unfortunately for Golden State they are — once again — not as healthy as their opponent is. Hopefully they’re able to overcome that.

Here’s the fully injury report ahead of tonight’s game, which tips off at 7:00 p.m.

Warriors

Out — Draymond Green (left calf strain)

On Monday, the Warriors announced that Green would miss at least the next three games. Well, this is the third game. The Dubs have the weekend off, so there’s optimism that Dray can return to the practice court tomorrow, and be back in the lineup on Monday when the Warriors host their final home game of the first half, against the Orlando Magic.

Out — Jonathan Kuminga (right ankle sprain)

In that same Monday update, the Warriors announced that Kuminga will be re-evaluated in two weeks. It seems likely that Kuminga will not return until after the all-Star break, though hopefully in the first game back.

Available — Kevon Looney (right nasal bone fracture — facemask)

Looney won’t miss time after Wednesday’s brilliance, which was probably his best game of the year. But he might be a masked man tonight!

Suns

The Suns have no one on their injury report, save from two-way contracts Jalen Bridges and TyTy Washington Jr. being in the G League. They’re a fully healthy squad, which is impressive since Durant, Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, and Jusuf Nurkić have combined to miss 49 games this year.

Enjoy the action, Dub Nation!
