Preview: Warriors take on Suns in Chase Center with no Green
Can the Dubs slow down the Phoenix Suns attack?
The Dubs get a chance to close out January in style with their divisional rival Phoenix Suns coming to town tonight on a rainy evening in the Bay Area.
Unfortunately for the Dubs, they won’t have their defensive leader Draymond Green to support them as they face the superscorers Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. The NBA season has showcased a compelling rivalry between the two teams, with each team securing a victory in their two matchups thus far.

November 30, 2024: Suns Triumph in Phoenix
In their first encounter on November 30, the Warriors traveled to Phoenix, aiming to halt a two-game losing streak. Despite their efforts, the Suns emerged victorious with a 113-105 win. Devin Booker led the Suns with 27 points, while Tyus Jones contributed 19 points and nine assists. Kevin Durant, facing his former team, added 21 points and 10 rebounds. For the Warriors, Stephen Curry topped the scoring with 23 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Suns’ early lead and efficient three-point shooting.
December 28, 2024: Warriors’ Redemption at Home
The teams met again on December 28 at Chase Center in San Francisco. This time, the Warriors secured a 109-105 victory, snapping their three-game losing streak. Jonathan Kuminga delivered a standout performance off the bench, tying his career high with 34 points. Stephen Curry added 22 points, while Draymond Green and Trayce Jackson-Davis contributed 16 points each. Kevin Durant led the Suns with 31 points, and Bradley Beal scored 28, but their efforts fell short against the Warriors’ balanced attack.
