Report: Anthony Davis expected to return from injury in 7-10 days
Based on the latest reporting, Anthony Davis may not miss many Lakers games due to his abdominal injury.
During the opening quarter versus the Sixers, Anthony Davis went down with an abdominal injury and exited the game. After an MRI the following day, it was confirmed AD had an abdominal strain and would be re-evaluated after a week.
Now, we have a new report on his potential return date as Dave McMenamin of ESPN appeared on ESPN LA radio and noted that AD could be back in roughly one week.

Hearing that Davis should return in 10 days, give or take, is a relief for Lakers fans.
If he returns during that time frame, he will miss just four games: the last three road matchups of this current road trip versus the Wizards, the Knicks and the Clippers\ followed by the first game back at home against the Warriors.
This is a new injury for Davis, who has only missed three games this season. This year, AD has dealt with a lot of leg injuries, including plantar fasciitis, a left heel contusion and an ankle issue.
Replacing AD’s production is an impossibility on this roster. He is a shoo-in to make the All-Star team and leads the Lakers in both points and rebounds.
With AD temporarily out, the Lakers only have one other healthy full-time player at the center position on the roster, Jaxson Hayes, who is miles away from being at the Davis level.
This is one of the many reasons Davis has pleaded for a center to be added to the roster and why the Lakers are searching for one to trade for before the trade deadline.
Hayes will get the start for the first game without AD against the Wizards, as he confirmed at shootaround on Thursday.
Hopefully, Davis will have no setbacks and can return in 10 days. If he does, his first game back could be versus the Indiana Pacers at home on Feb. 8.
That would be two days after the trade deadline, so we’ll know by then if the front office can execute a deal and get AD some help in the frontcourt.
