If you know, you know.

Tom Chambers was a man ahead of his time.

Born in Ogden, Utah, in 1959, Chambers was a promising high school guard. He stood 6-2 as a sophomore and then shot up six inches but managed to keep all his coordination and guard skills.

He played at Utah and then entered the NBA as the #8 pick in the 1981 draft. Very sadly, he started his career with the San Diego Clippers but got out of that train wreck in a couple of years when he was traded to Seattle and later to Phoenix.

At 6-11, Chambers ran the court as well as any big man ever has and had guard skills too. He also had some serious ups, as you’ll see in this famous dunk over Mark Jackson.

Despite scoring over 20,000 points, Chambers is not in the Hall of Fame, which is hard to believe. He really should be.
