Anthony Davis upgraded to questionable for Lakers vs. Clippers
Things are trending positively for Anthony Davis as he’s been upgraded to questionable for the Lakers’ upcoming game vs. the Clippers.
Both Anthony Davis and Dorian Finney-Smith were out for the Lakers’ win against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday.
With Los Angeles staying in town to play the Clippers in their new stadium, the Intuit Dome, the team has good news on the injury front. DFS is no longer listed as out and Davis has been upgraded to questionable.

DFS has missed two games for personal reasons, but Lakers head coach JJ Redick stated after the team’s Friday game that he assumed Anthony Davis and Finney-Smith would play vs. the Clippers.
With DFS no longer listed on the injury report, that assumption seems to have been correct.
AD, however, is a little trickier. On the plus side, he’s listed as out and is progressing in the right direction.
However, is this a scenario where he is questionable the day before but leaning towards playing, or will he be ruled out right before the game like he was on Friday?
Obviously, there’s no way of knowing, but it is a step in the right direction even if it isn’t the clear answer fans want to hear.
Davis missed the Nets game due to a left plantar fasciitis injury he’s been dealing with for some time now.
Given that he’s played all but three games and may even return after just one absence, this injury isn’t a grave concern, but it is something fans should keep in mind as the season nears the halfway point.
While DFS back is a welcomed addition, Davis is the key to the Lakers being the best version of themselves. He is averaging 25.8 points and 11.9 rebounds per game and seems to be heading toward his 10th All-Star appearance.
If AD plays on Sunday, it will allow L.A. to truly test itself against one of the best teams in the West.
The Clippers have been a very gritty team and are currently ahead of the Lakers in the standings by half a game.
Jaxson Hayes is also on the injury report and is listed as questionable with right calf soreness.
Hopefully, both Hayes and AD will be upgraded between now and game time so the Lakers can be fully healthy entering this marquee matchup.
