Unrivaled, the new women's 3-on-3 basketball league, tips off tonight. We've compiled everything you need to know about the league, including where to watch Unrivaled, team rosters, and channel and live streaming info.
Co-founded by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, Unrivaled brings together some of the best WNBA players to train and play 3-on-3 basketball in their offseason. The league is based out of Miami, FL, and all games will be held there during the first two-month-long season. Sabrina Ionescu, Brittney Griner, Jewell Loyd, Angel Reese, DiJonai Carrington, and Arike Ogunbowale are just some of the stars signed to the league this season. A'ja Wilson and Caitlin Clark are two notable names not taking part in the inaugural season, although Clark shared that she "didn't rule out doing it in the future" in her Time profile for Athlete of the Year.
3-on-3 works a little bit differently than the standard 5-on-5 games found in the WNBA and NBA. While often played on half-courts, Unrivaled will operate on a smaller, bespoke full-court. According to ESPN, each game will be made up of three seven-minute quarters and a special fourth quarter that will end once one team gets to a certain number of points (11 points more than the winning team has after the third quarter). This format means that games — which are scheduled one hour apart — won't go into overtime.
All games will be nationally broadcast, so fans don't need to worry about missing out on any action. We've outlined some of the best watch options below, focusing on live streaming services since the games air on networks typically only found in cable packages. All the options we recommend will allow you to live stream every Unrivaled game this season, so once you choose a service, you'll be all set for the next two months.

What channel is Unrivaled on?
All Unrivaled games will air on TNT and truTV in the US. Most games will air on Friday and Monday nights, and Saturday afternoons. During the midseason 1-on-1 tournament, there will also be Tuesday and Thursday night games. The inaugural season will run from January 17 to March 17, 2025. The Semifinals will take place on March 16, and the Finals will occur on March 17.
How to watch Unrivaled in the US
If you're a cord-cutter looking for a way to watch without cable, there are a few live streaming options that can help you out, including Sling TV, DirecTV Stream, and Max. Sling TV's Blue plan carries TNT, truTV, and 40+ other live channels for $46/month. Right now, new users can get half off their first month, making it just $23 up front.
DirecTV Stream also offers access to all games. The service just dropped a new package called MySports, which carries sports-centric channels (including TNT and truTV) for cheaper than other DirecTV Stream plans. Subscriptions cost $70/month, but you can get your first three months for $50/month. This beta version is only available in select regions right now, but DirecTV Stream's Choice plan offers TNT, truTV, and 125+ live channels in all areas. Subscriptions cost $115/month, but you can get your first three months for $95/month.
Either of these plans will be a great option come WNBA season. In fact, DirecTV Stream Choice should offer every channel you need to live stream all nationally broadcast games during the regular season and playoffs. All DirecTV Stream plans come with a five-day free trial.
Max isn't just for HBO shows anymore. The service will also live stream all Unrivaled games from TNT and truTV. The sports streaming option is available through the app's B/R Sports Add-on. Max subscription prices start at $10/month, and the sports add-on will eventually cost an extra $10/month, but it's currently included at no extra cost with all subscriptions.
How to watch Unrivaled from anywhere
If you're traveling away from home, you can still keep up with your usual streaming options with the help of a VPN. Short for virtual private networks, VPNs enable you to change your device's virtual location so that you can access websites and apps from almost anywhere in the world. Since the services we've recommended today require US payment methods, this option will work best for Americans who are abroad right now.
Not sure where to start when it comes to VPNs? ExpressVPN is our top recommendation. It's a user-friendly app with a hassle-free 30-day money-back guarantee and tons of other perks, which we break down in our ExpressVPN review.
Unrivaled team rosters
Each of the six teams has six players. Kelsey Plum was initially signed to the Laces but announced her decision not to participate in November 2024. Cameron Brink, who was injured during the 2024 WNBA season, won't begin playing on the Lunar Owls until the 2026 Unrivaled season. Paige Bueckers, who is finishing up her final season at UConn, will join Unrivaled in the 2026 season. Natisha Hiedman was signed to the Phantom on a relief player contract in January 2025, according to ESPN, following an injury announcement for Phantom guard Marina Mabrey.
